Stand up straight and relax your abdomen. Find your natural waist, which is the narrowest part of your torso. It is usually located above your belly button and below your ribs. Wrap the tape measure around your waist, making sure it is snug but not constricting. Keep the tape measure parallel to the ground and measure in centimeters.
